Dancewear Return Policy

This section applies to dancewear items, not costumes. Costume items are not returnable. Returns on non-costume catalog items may be made only within 30 days of shipment, no exceptions. Special orders not listed in this catalog are not returnable or refundable. Sale items are not returnable or refundable. All refunds are for merchandise only, shipping charges are non-refundable. International orders will be charged full shipping charges.

  • Must be sent postage paid
  • Must be in new, resalable condition in the original packaging with tags still attached.

  • Shoe boxes must not be damaged
  • Must include instructions telling us what you would like done with your returned items
  • Must include a copy of your receipt. If you send the original, it will not be returned
  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen return packages, we strongly suggest you insure your return shipment
COSTUME EXCHANGES

  • Exchanges for size only of the same style may be made within one week after you or your dance studio has received your order.
  • Since all costumes are made to order, we cannot accept returns for credit, refund, or exchange for another (different) style.
  • Exchanges are considered NEW ORDERS. It is important for you to determine if the costume will arrive in time for your performance before initiating an exchange.
  • Before returning your item for a size exchange, please call (877) 632-6234 for an estimated ship date for the replacement item and a prepaid return mailing label (USA only).
  • Send only the costume to be exchanged in its original packaging. Do not include optional accessories purchased separately; however, be sure to send all items that are included free with the costume such as head poufs, gloves, skirts, etc.
  • For Costume Department items only, a return mailing label will be provided to you if you reside in the USA.
  • If you reside in Canada, due to Customs, return shipping costs must be paid by customer; however, CostumeManager.com will cover the cost of mailing the exchanged costume back to the studio in Canada.
  • There is no fee to exchange a costume item unless the costume manufacturer imposes a restocking fee. These fees will be indicated at the time your exchange is initiated.
  • There may be additional charges for size exchanges from child sizes to adult sizes.
  • You may use your MasterCard or Visa to pay for any additional exchange charges.
  • Please mail costumes to exchange within 2 business days of receiving your prepaid mailing label.

DELIVERY TIME COSTUMES:

Costumes are custom made and require early scheduling. Orders are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and may take up to 16 weeks or more to ship, depending on the time of the year and the costume manufacturer. Typically, January through June is the longest lead time for costumes. For the most updated ship dates please call us at (877) 632-6234;

DELIVERY TIME NON-COSTUME ITEMS

Most items are in stock; however, if we are out of stock on an item we will ship the item no later than Friday of the following week. Expect these items to arrive within 7 – 10 business days.

DANCEWEAR AND SHOES

Fees: There is a $1.95 per order handling fee. In addition, each item has a “service fee” to help us cover the cost of handling and shipping the products to your studio. Dancewear products, such as shoes, tights and leotards have a fee of $0.50 through $2. Costume Department products only (and not dancewear department items) increase throughout the season.

Our COSTUME department shipping and handling policies are designed to reward dancers for ordering their costumes as early as possible. The service fees for costumes only increase on the following dates.

2016-17 Season – Service Fee* schedule
  • Service Fee per costume item increases from $2.49 to $3.99 on Thursday, October 5, 2017
  • Service Fee per costume item increases from $3.99 to $5.99 on Tuesday, November 2, 2017
  • Service Fee per costume item increases from $5.99 to $7.99 on Thursday, December 7, 2017
  • Service Fee per costume item increases from $7.99 to $9.99 on Thursday, January 4

  • Service Fee per costume item increases from $9.99 to $12.99 on Thursday, February 1, 2018
  • Service Fee per costume item increases from $12.99 to $16.99 on Thursday, March 15, 2018

* Service Fee includes shipping of product from manufacturer to CM warehouse, receiving, sorting, consolidating “class” purchases by student, packaging, shipping to studio. In Canada, Service Fees are tripled and include all import fees such as duty.

WARNING - After January 5, 2017 some costume manufacturers take up to 18 weeks to deliver certain costume styles to our warehouse. Please order as early as possible to ensure on time delivery of your costume products.

All costumes are delivered from the costume manufacturer to CostumeManager.com's warehouses. Costumes are then sorted and delivered to the dancer's dance studio via UPS ground service unless other arrangements have been made. The dance instructor and/or dance studio administrative staff will hand out the costumes in the dancer's dance class to ensure accuracy and fit.

SHIPPING ERRORS:

Please check your order as soon as you receive it. Any costumes, parts or pieces missing from your order must be reported to us within 5 days of receiving your shipment. If your carton is damaged upon receipt, please save it, as a claim may be filed with the carrier.

PARTIAL SHIPMENTS / BACK ORDERS:

Every effort is made to ship orders complete. In the event we are temporarily out of stock of an item that you ordered, we will send out "in stock" products and the balance of the order will follow as soon as possible. Back orders older than 90 days will be automatically canceled, unless there are special circumstances. International orders will be charged full shipping charges on back orders. Please specify if you would like your order shipped complete only. If costumes on your order are completed ahead of schedule, we may send you a partial shipment and back order the balance.

Our goal is to allow dance studio owners and instructors to DANCE MORE and WORK LESS. CostumeManager.com INCLUDES the cost of shipping in the price of the costume and accessories.

By allowing studio owners and instructors to easily view and assign costumes and accessories to their classes we are allowing them to DANCE MORE and WORK LESS.

We've eliminated the dance attire and costume management duties for the studio owners. Costumes are shipped to your studio so that your instructor or studio owner can hand-deliver them to their students.
